We thank all those who donated money and their time to help us
get through this procedure. The money helped us with our living
expenses for the two months we were in Chicago. We especially
thank everyone for their prayers.

Meet Sandi Selvi. She has
MS and went through
nearly the same
procedure I did in 2000.
Her story is inspiring and
is another example of the
real benefits of this
procedure.

She explains in great
detail on her website.

Her
picture takes you there,
too.
Meet Marc Coppins. He
began his procedure at
Northwestern in April of
2011. His story shows how
perseverance, tenacity,
and a strong marriage /
support group helped him
to take control of his MS
treatment.

See his website at

Meet Lisa. She received the
procedure at Northwestern in
November of 2010. Her story
is compelling and very
informative. She is another
example of the effectiveness
of this procedure.

On June 15, 2007, I went to Chicago to take part in a procedure called
Nonmyeloablative Autologous Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for
Multiple Sclerosis at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL to put my
RRMS (Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis) into a long term remission.
With testing and hospitalization, it took two months to complete.

My goal with these pages is to help people who have this disease , those who
care for them, and maybe even some doctors and/or Insurance Company
Executives by keeping them informed of this procedure. Unfortunately, this
procedure is not for all those with MS. There are several criteria that must be
met to qualify. Sadly, this procedure does not work well for those whose
disease progression is advanced. But hopefully, I can help inform those with
RRMS that may be interested and want to look into this procedure. If so, a
referral from your neurologist is the first step.

I am not the first person to undergo this procedure (or one very similar). But
there are very few MS sufferers who have, only about 30 people to date. This
procedure has been very successful in putting people with MS into complete
remission.

My friends, Sandi Selvi, Marc Coppins and Lisa (shown below) have all
decided for this procedure. Their stories are inspiring. They all have websites
containing their stories.I am building a community of people with MS in the
hope that more of us can reach a sustained remission. If you have a website
or blog link that you think can offer advise or support to those with MS,
please email me at the email address listed on every page of this site. I will
add the link to this site.
